Missed Appointment Policy |
From the 1st October 2011, Roundwood Surgery will be introducing a Missed Appointment Policy. The surgery has been loosing on average 10 to 12 surgeries every month equating to nearly 300 appointments. Please see below the surgeries policy for Missed Appointments. We hope that you will work with us to try and help reduce the number of missed appointments.

Routine Appointments
If you fail to attend a pre-booked appointment with a doctor, practice nurse or health care assistant on two occasions within a two month period, you will receive a formal warning letter. Any further failure to attend an appointment will result in removal from the practice list. You will be informed that you have an opportunity to contact the surgery to inform us of the reasons why you were unable to attend. If you fail to attend a further appointment then you will be informed that a 30 day notification of removal from the practice will proceed.
Emergency or Same Day Appointments
If you fail to attend a booked on the day appointment (Emergency Appointment) then you will be removed from the surgery list after only one more DNA. You will receive a formal letter giving you the opportunity to contact the surgery with a valid reason why you were unable to contact the practice to cancel your appointment.
If you fail to attend a further appointment then you will be removed from the practice list within a 30 day notification period.
