Prescription Policy UPDATE
Please be aware that from the 1st July 2012 Roundwood Surgery will be changing all patients’ medications to 28 days supply only. This is to bring all patients medication in line with Nottinghamshire County PCT prescribing recommendations. This is also to prevent wastage of medication for those patients whose medication may be changed on a regular basis by the hospital. We would like to thank you for your co-operation during these changes.
REMINDER TO PATIENTS: If you wish a chemist to collect your prescription from the surgery. Please contact the Chemist once you have ordered your medication to arrange collection. Many thanks.
GP Registrar & Foundation 2 Doctor
Roundwood Surgery is pleased to announce it has achieved the standard of excellence required to become a Training Practice. This means we have GP Registrars & Foundation 2 Doctors working within our Team.
A GP Registrar is a fully qualified Doctor who is in training. They rotate every 4 months and see patients on a regular basis. GP Registrars work under the supervision of our GP Trainers, Dr Nicholas Glover & Dr Simon Cappin.
Foundation 2 Doctors are in their Postgraduate Medical Training. They rotate every 4 months and see patients on a regular basis. F2 Doctors work under the supervision of our GP Trainers, Dr Primal Johnson & Dr Jessica Carter.
Medical Students
Roundwood undertakes the teaching of undergraduate medical students.
As a patient you will be informed when a student is with a GP. It is, of course, your right to decline their presence at your consultation.
Please help us to train the next generation of doctors.
Patient Participation Group (Roundwood Connect)
Roundwood Surgery has an excellent active Patient Participation Group known as 'Roundwood Connect'. They meet every 2-3 months and would welcome new members. If you are interested in joining please contact Elizabeth/Sue on 01623 648880.
The PPG also have their own notice board in the patient waiting area and keep it up-to-date with useful information for the benefit of patients.
The PPG are also committed in raising funds to obtain medical equipment for the Surgery.
In the future the PPG could help with health promotion events, engage directly with people using Roundwood's services and perhaps run its own support services to benefit all.
